The Albanian Prime Minister, Sali Berisha, held for the first time the meeting of the Task Regulation Force with the businesses, to listen to their suggestions on a new package that the government has proposed for easing the procedures for business.

Currently 2/3rd of the licenses have been removed, there are less inspectors, but according to Berisha, the other measures that make this market better are vital for the economic growth and employment. One of the new propositions is reducing the inspecting days from 45 to 15, reducing the average cost from 1000 to 200 EUR.

Berisha also says that the digitalization of the inspection system eliminates bribe and corruption.

“The online system will make inspectors leave marks and not visit you as many times they want. This is a great effort for honest inspection”, Berisha declared.

The decision that makes it easier for businesses to employ young people will not enter in effect without the recent amends. To the interest of the businesses to know when they can employ young people and what can they profit from that, the Prime Minister answered by saying that first they will defend the current employees.

“Together with you we will amend a code so that the currently employees will not suffer from it. This would be a tragedy. After we finish this code, we will keep our word and in three years, for every young employee we will pay the obligations”, Berisha declared.

Berisha guaranteed the businessmen that the taxes will still be low, since this is the best way to increase employment.

“Our tradition is constant dialogue, but we don’t accept tax increase”, the PM declared.

Rama’s reaction

The opposition leader reacted on Twitter a few minutes after the Prime Minister’s declarations.

“The Prime Minister’s meeting with business are the biggest farce of the government media. The violators meet their victims and pretend the contrary. Business is waiting to escape the daily violence of this government. On June 23rd we will return to businesses the freedom, dignity and competition”, Rama reacted on Twitter.
