In the fourth quarter 2012, Albania’s Producer Price Index reached 113.1 percent (Year 2005 = 100), signing an increase by 0.3 percent compared with previous quarter. Annual change of this index is +0.1 percent.Index in “Mining and quarrying” increased by 0.5 percent. The statistical office recorded an increase of index prices in “Mining and quarrying, energy producing materials” activity by 2.6 percent. Albania’s Producer price index in “Manufacturing” sector increased by 0.4 percent. Within this sector, it was recorded the increase of index price in “Manufacture of food” by 0.1 percent, “Manufacture of furniture” by 2.4 percent, “Manufacture of textiles” by 2.4 percent. While the index price in “Manufacture of coke, refined petroleum products” activity, “Manufacture of chemical products” signed a decrease respectively by 0.1 percent and 2.5 percent.Producer Price Index for domestic production reached 111.2 percent signing an increase price by 0.1 percent compared with previous quarter. Here we can mention the increase prices of “Mining and quarrying” by 2.0 percent and “Manufacturing” by 0.1 percent. Export index price (year 2005 = 100) reached 120.3 percent signing an increase price by 0.8 percent compared with previous quarter. The statistical office recorded an increase of index price in “Manufacturing” industry by 1.1 percent.
